Preamble:
Prince Salman Science Oasis (PSSO), a non-profit organization, charged with developing an interactive science center, and the world's leading IT Company, Microsoft, come together with a unique opportunity for  training the future generation through an innovative, educational and entertaining program (PSSO - Microsoft innovative youth program).

Place: PSSO Diplomatic quarter Riyadh.

Program Mission:
Transform youth lives by providing them with innovative technology and the necessary training to reach their full potentials.

Program Duration: 5 Weeks

Program Structure: 5 weekly workshops

Workshop duration: each workshop for about four hours

Program Values and Objective:
The goal is to empower these young people with an Information Technology mindset that will benefit them in their future.

  • Encourage teachers and students to integrate technology as a tool for learning and communicating into all curricula areas
  • Helping kids to present themselves well on college and job interview
  • Teaching students a real profession
  • collaborate students with new technology and its application focus on essential questions-questions of importance that require analysis and evaluation, and encourage sharing of knowledge through technology
  • Providing a platform where students can better decide their future
Program Content:
  • the program teaches kids between ages 10 to 16 the skills they need to design internet applications with a focus on industry standards.
  • the tutorial and curriculum unit were designed and tested by specialist for American high school teachers and students.
  • The American NETS *National Education Technology Standards)-based activities guide students to answer and essential question, conduct research, and communicate their learning by building a website.
  • Build amazing websites that just work everywhere.

Terms & Regulations:
• School team is composed of 15 students
• Age group: 10-15 years inclusive
• Fees: SR350 per student
• The team is to be accompanied by their supervisor
• Each team submit an innovation project
• One team project to compete in the finals competition
• All students are strictly bound to follow code of good behavior
